"The inspiration behind ‘Urban Angel I' is the personal significance of the Angel of the North. It is a symbol of the North East. Being originally from down South, I pass the Angel of the North in my car when returning from visits to family and it is when I pass this sculpture that I consider myself back home in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I have created sculptures from an early age alongside spray painting and this particular sculpture has always been a huge inspiration encouraging me to develop my art practice.
I created this painting using spray paints on canvas and it is framed in a black wooden frame with a white slip."
